For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay. Habakkuk 2:3 WEB.About thirty-five years ago, the Lord gave me a word that I would pioneer new things in ministry and fo...

The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king. In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchante...

If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

The Long Run

  • Behold, today I am going the way of all the earth. You know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which Yahweh your God spoke concerning you. All have happened to you. Not one thing has failed of it. Joshua 23:14 WEB

Joshua had served God his whole life. He grew up in the presence of the Lord and as a young man he never departed from the tent of meeting where the Lord's presence settled (Exodus 33:11). The speech that he gave in Joshua 23:14 happened when he was 110 years old. You could say that Joshua knew what it was like to walk with the Lord.

Joshua had been one of the twelve spies sent to look at the promised land (Numbers 14:6), and later he led the people through countless battles as they entered it. Though at times things looked bad, and sometimes Joshua had to lay on his face (Joshua 7:6), God always came through in the long run.

So many times in my life, it has looked hopeless, when really, hope was right around the corner but I just could not see it. Each time I would get scared because I did not know what to do, but God would always come through. Sometimes things only make sense when looking backwards.

Do not panic in the short term, for God will work it out. The thing you fear that is coming is not actually here yet, and if it arrives God will give you the grace for it when needed, not in advance. Take heart, God always comes through in the long run. We like to be independent and prepared for anything, but He wants us to learn to trust Him and stand firm in our faith, in the middle of the storm.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness. You have brought me this far and I know that You are able to take care of me. I should know this by now. Forgive me for ever doubting You and touch my life again today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Lord,,  I'm still learning patience. I know whatever happens in my life you are there for me. Lord my faith is not what it should be. Some times life gets the best of me. I know you are a way maker and you love me as you did my grandmothers, aunties, mom, grandfathers and my dad. Teach me Lord as you did them, give me the courage, faith and strength that I saw in them. I thank you for what and who I am now and what I will be in the future. In your son Jesus' name, Amen.

Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path ( Proverbs 3:5-6). God will work it out for you just trust in him and beleive that he will, for the Lord is good. Amen.

Thank you for the encouraging words and though, I sometimes feel like I'm hanging on to His coatails by my nails, I have learned to lean on Him so much more during my hardships and trails through prayers and hope that only He can give. I still get choked up when I think how much He pulled me out of messes time and time again all before I became  Christian.....ok....getting choked up again....just want to say thank you Lord for taking the lead in my life and showing me your way is the only way this world is making any sense.
