Full Recovery

  • Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. David's two wives were taken captive, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David strengthened himself in Yahweh his God. 1 Samuel 30:3 WEB

When David and his men returned home, they found that it had been burned to the ground and that their families and belongings had been taken away by the Amalekites. The men with David were so upset that they talked about stoning him to death. When David was alone with everyone against him, he encouraged himself in the Lord his God. David gained strength by focusing on the Lord. That was more than enough, and within seventy-two hours, David had recovered all.

There are times when God allows us to go through things instead of around them. I don't claim to know why, but when we come out of the other side we are better, stronger people and we have a testimony to go with it. My Dad grew up during the Great Depression and there is hardly a generation that turned out better. Hard times make strong people that don't begin to whine when the slightest thing goes wrong.

No matter what you are going through, stick with God and it is going to work out for the best. Later you will look back and see that no matter what you have been through, you are still here. God can make the bad, work out for your own good. If you act like David, stick to God, think positive, believe His word, you will recover all that you have lost, and then some.

Today, if you feel down, defeated, and it seems that the world has turned against you, there is still hope. God is more than enough, and when He is for you, who can stand against you? As He becomes bigger in your life, your problems will become smaller. Rekindle that flame within you by recalling what God has already done in your life. He is still the God that created the universe and you will come through this just as David.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please draw my heart to You like never before. Put a fresh fire within me and fill me with Your zeal. Fire me up God! Help me shake off the things that hold me back, to focus on You, and to become steadfast, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Amen >>Over the past 3-4 years , there have been many trails... illnesses, loss of loved ones, loss of  income.... there have been many. Through all those trails we stood firm in faith and saw so many blessings... healing from illnesses, comfort for the grief, mighty ways of providing, open doors of opportunity, encouragment to step out in faith, let go of fear, & follow dreams I didn't even know I had... but God knew, because he had placed them in my heart and kept nudging me to stop living in fear of all those what if's. Our lives are far from perfect still, but each day we see our blessings and I am so grateful for a Father that see's us through ... well, everything with love, mercy, grace, and provisions in the mightiest of ways! Thank you Pastor :) Awesome words today <3 Enjoy your Visit with Sylvia's Family! God bless

Amen, nothing is too big for our Abba Father. Knowing His deep love for us it should be easy to trust Him in our circumstances no matter how bleak they may seem to be. Good will come from our troubles if we keep praying and putting God first. He is using these most painful times to mold and shape us into His faithful children. The biggest battles are given to God's mightiest warriors.

Sandra, thank you for your kindness and I'm trying to give it all I got. You gave me my first verse I love and learned. John 3;16 For God so love the world that he gave His Only son that whosoever believe shall not parish but have ever lasting life. Amen I am going to look the other verses up and read them I know many verses but there is a lot I don't know. Carol, does always have a peace about her I pray for that over me it's hard after dropping crazy medication over 4.5 years it's is taking a toll on  me. I never knew that one doctor would put one person on so many medications. Well my new doctor works in the same hospital as he and said he should have had you off of all these before I went home. He went to Florida a few times and sent me hom and my body got use to them. It was over 10 medications that I had to drop. I have one left and it's a hard one and the withdraw is ugly. It could take over another year to get 20 mg out of my body. I cry out to my Father that I have a break threw and won't feel those withdraws. Everytime I've dropped I would pray and had prayers over me. I still get the withdraw but they do say the lower you get the wirhdwaw can be worse. I just want some peace the total hysterectomy in 2010 due to high ovarian cancer counts really got to me. Ovarian cancer took my mom's life. I had blood test CA-125 for ovarian cancer taking all the time. It started to get high so I had to have the operation. I could not take any hormone pills because it could cause breast cancer. In 2013 I took a break down I was taking off anxiety medication too. I end up with really bad nerve damage, fibromyalgia and osteoporosis. They thought that I had MS for some time due to the way I was walking. I had all the test for MS and it was not MS. They doctor said I had many gut surgeries that is caused the nerve damage, fibromyalgia and osteoporosis. The osteoporosis is due to bone losss from having a hysterectomy. I went threw a lot and it did so much to my body I never knew that 3 gut surgeries could cause so many problems and pain. I am really beat down from surgeries and medication withdraw.

I Love you, Sandra.

Thank You <3

Diane

We here at home have same struggle.  Using method of saying down cards to wipe out.  Then two biggies hit along with mortgage.  My husband had been off work a short period  & got bk sooner then thought.  Yet his hernia surgery was scheduled after that other at home reason so feeling the pinch.  I am on disability a long time & can't work.  Truly relying on the Lord & our finances are in His hands.  Blessed to know Jesus... for where would we be.  PTL!!  Also I want to add that not tithing is out of question for us.  Our offerings to various Christian Ministries can be tempting yet we in our hearts feel even there to trust the Lord for all those too.  A C. S. L Lewis quote is on our frig that helps to keep perspective on offerings..."I do not believe one can settle for how much we ought to give.  I'm afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare.  If our charities do not"pinch" or hamper us, I should say they are to small.  There ought to be things we should like to do yet cannot do because our charitable expenditure excludes them.  We find contentment in all this as the world spins in the things they cannot afford or feel unfulfillment to only go to the next thing.  I am human & yet can get my eye wondering or my desires going.  I then Refocus on the Lord.  In reading a recent Voice of the Martyrs story I am seeing lives & families living for Christ to get the good news out and what all they go thru.  Our offering of prayer for these & others called the "brave one's" ( a mission speaker spoke to describe those in the field of one path to serve) is a reminder of where I am not able to be as they to serve.  So giving an offering of any sort in being with them says we are with you & yours.  When I think thru the finances & anything I can cut back on it isn't this area.  They pay a high price of no  monetary earthly thing but their lives given for every Heavenly reward.  Long as this may be it is how I process the money given to us in being a good steward & keeping my heart reminded  what is ours ,& what is the Lord's.  Blessings Joseph...may the Lord richly bless you!
