Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clot...

The disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52 WEBWhile at the beach one day, I watched some kids playing with a beach ball. They would hit the ball and it would soar into the air, but then gradually float back down to the earth. Without some form of lift, the ball will alwa...

Our thinking is often consumed with what is happening today, or tomorrow, or sometimes what happened yesterday. God thinks in the long term. He can see our entire life at once. Think of it like t...

Troubled Waters

  • When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, 'It's a ghost!' and they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'Cheer up! It is I! Don't be afraid.' Peter answered him and said, 'Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.' He said, 'Come!' Peter stepped down from the boat, and walked on the waters to come to Jesus. Matthew 14:26 WEB

The wind and waves were beating against the boat as they crossed the Sea of Galilee. It had been a long dark night and it was almost morning when an image appeared near the disciples, walking across the top of the water. It was Jesus. The disciples were terrified thinking that it was a ghost, but Jesus calmed them. Then Peter, who tended to speak first and think later, asked the Lord to call him out onto the water.

Jesus said 'Come' and Peter left of the safety of the boat, stepped out on the water, and started walking towards Jesus. When Peter saw the wind and waves around him, he took his eyes off of Jesus, became scared, and started to sink. Peter panicked, cried out and Jesus took hold of him and they got back into the boat together. Jesus asked Peter one question: 'Why did you doubt?'

Peter asked the Lord for an opportunity, he got it, and then it became scary. Many of us ask for things in a passionate moment of prayer, and then later cry out in fear when it actually comes to pass. During a fast once, I prayed for the Lord to remove anything that was holding me back from Him. I had no idea that it was my job, and I was soon in the unemployment line. He saw me through that season and I did become closer to Him, but it was not pleasant to the flesh.

We will have to leave the safety of the boat and our comfort zone to get the best that He has for us. Most will ignore this call just as the eleven stayed in the boat, but a crazy few will step out on the water and risk it all. Will you step out with nothing but faith to support you? It will be scary. Jesus still seeks those who will walk on the water when He calls them.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please guide me into all that You have for me. Place me where I need to be and reveal the gifts that You have placed in my life. Give me a clear vision of Your plan, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

You know, I've heard/read sermons on this passage of scripture a thousand times; but never like this! You can always count on Pastor Dion to bring a fresh perspective...straight from the Holy Ghost! Ministered to me greatly! I am continuing to hear about stepping out on faith and taking risks...for about 3 weeks straight now. Think He might be soeaking to me? Lol. Now to figure out/discern what exactly He means.  Your prayers would be greatly appreciated in these regards. Blessings to you all, ROH Fam!!!!!

May you hear His smal still voice Stacie.  You are one of His sheep.  What a great Shepard keeping us in the midst of hardship.  He knows hardship & bore more then then we ever will.  I pray when I read scripture I'd get some nuggets to feed on.  To give me an open look into the deeper parts that keep me hanging in & gets me filled with I know that I know.  PTL!  That makes a day yet my thoughts keep looking back at it.  Blessings of the same for you!

No matter how long we walk with Jesus, it is still frightening to walk on the water. The first step may be easier than the rest. As we come against trials and the opression from the enemy our feet begin to sink. It is then that like Peter we must cry out to Jesus. As we cry out , Jesus will take hold of us and enable us to walk further, a little bit at a time. The key to staying in His plan for us, is to call out to Jesus when we start to sink and then He will lead us through the stormiest of waters!

"I've heard people say be careful what you pray for" I'm living it now. The pruning phase is no fun and very scary there are days where I choke and others I feel I didn't do so bad. Through it all I'm learning to trust God like never before. Not sure what the lesson or plan is but with His help I won't give up. Your message was so on time and it showed me myself thank you !!'

Boy I'll tell ya ! You've hit the nail on the head here. Seperation 3 1/2 yrs, Devorice.broken femur bone and now he's filed chapter 7 bankrupcy just on him. I said to God, Lord You see all that has been and still is going on. Aren't you going to do something about this garbage, drinking, druging, whoring ect. ect ...He had the lady that was sent to help me because of I couldn't walk due to the broken femur bone, up early the next morning after this discussion with The Lord. She said He told her to do exactly like He said. She stood there in my bedroom like a scolding mother or father shaking her finger at me SAYING "VENGENCE IS MINE SAITH THE LORD I WILL REPAY" So I am trying very hard to be still and KNOW HE IS GOD.

MOVING fORWARD:

She was sent here to help me.

Their house burnt down and they were homeless, husband,Cecelia, son, daughter.

What ever you do unto them you do unto me...Put them in the cottage which needs a bunch of work, made sure they had food, and got them some clothing to help.

Well, the other day she had to go to the hospital due to escuciating pain. The xray showed she had cancer in her back bone that looked like honey cone holes plus her bones in her legs were hollow, and the tumor she had in her breast spread to her chest. She loves and knows God,Jesus and The Holy Spirit. She is HOLDING ON TO GOD VERY STRONG. Ginny ai GINNYS HOPE in HUGHES SPRINGS had the exact same thing and she has been totally cured. This excited CECELIA and gave her HOPE that God was and is going to heal her.

This has been a long post...I'm asking everyone to pray for these situations.

I THANK YOU AND SEND BLESSINGS TO EVERYONE

Love Ya,

Sharon
