Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth dea...

God's Visible Glory

  • God's Visible Glory from Jim Jarrell on Vimeo.

Welcome everyone, to the Wednesday evening service for Refreshing Hope Ministries! I would like to especially thank Dion and Sylvia for all the hard work they are doing to keep Refreshing Hope live on the internet.

Tonight, I would like to talk with you tonight about a desire of my heart. Psalms 37:4 says; Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart. I truly believe that the Bible is true, and that we as a people are just learning, as we go through this journey called life. In the time I have been seeking to live by His standards, I have enjoyed many success in life. There are still desires that God has not given me, and this is one of them.

As most of you have heard, Pastor Dion has been singing songs about seeing God’s Glory. This is something I am praying for also. You see, I believe that in the “Tangible Glory”, real miracles happen. How many people do you know that have been prayed for over and over, but still have not seen the manifestation of the prayer? I know from experience that prayer works. I am talking about people being healed or set free, without prayer. I am talking about being in the presence of God Himself here on this earth in the land of the living. I do not believe that in heaven, any of this will be necessary God told the Israelite people that He would remove sickness from them. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 7:15; “The Lord will remove from you all sickness; He will not put on you any of the harmful diseases of Egypt which you have known, but He will lay them on all who hate you. I believe that being in the kind of Glory I am talking about, this will happen for you as well.

I have heard stories of people seeing amputated limbs growing back in this kind of Glory. I have heard of people who suffer with cancer completely healed in this kind of Glory. I have even heard of people who were dead, exposed to this kind of Glory, who returned to life and lived productive lives. By now, many of you think that I am dreaming, that is impossible. But I assure you, it is something I truly believe.

You see, the Bible says in Deuteronomy 29:29; “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law. In other words, if God has revealed something to man then it belongs to us forever. These things belong to us so that we will follow His laws. Not as religion has taught them, but as He established them to be followed. Now, I would like to show you an example of this being revealed in the Bible.

2nd Chronicles 5:11-14. The Bible says; “And when the priests came forth from the Holy Place,{for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without regard to divisions} and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and kinsmen, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, standing east of the alter, and with them one hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and glorify the Lord, and when lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the Lord saying, He indeed is good for His loving kindness is everlasting, then the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

Just let that soak in for a minute. The Bible says that the Glory of the Lord filled the house of God in a visible manner. A cloud so thick and visible that it could be seen with the people’s eyes. Let’s think about what was happening here. All these people had just put years into building this temple and they were having a dedication service with singing. Just think, there are Priests, Levitical Singers, musical instruments of the day along with 120 people playing trumpets leading a large group of people in worship. No one expected a Glory Cloud to fill the Temple. They were all in unity and just singing that the Lord is truly good and His loving kindness is everlasting! Could a song be more simple?

If one continues to read 2nd Chronicles the picture becomes clear why this happened. 2nd Chronicles 7:1-3says; Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord filled the Lord’s house. And the sons of Israel seeing the fire come down and the glory of the Lord upon the house, bowed down on the pavement with their faces to the ground and they worshiped and gave praise to the Lord saying; ”Truly He is good and truly His loving kindness is everlasting. Then verse 12 says; “Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night and said to him, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.”

Just imagine that, the Lord Himself came to speak with Solomon. The people all saw this with their own eyes and they understood God was really there. Is that not what we need in this day? God says that He will take sickness out of our lives, does it not stand to reason we need Him to come down and show us how to truly follow Him. I believe He is just waiting for a group of people who will truly worship Him in unity. Not because we have to, but because we want to. We as a church, say we believe, is it not time to show Him how true that is!

The next time Pastor Dion sings, Lord I long to see your Glory. I suggest we sing it in unity with enthusiasm. He has done this before, He can do it again! Thank you for your time, see you again.

Thank you, Jim!  That was a great message.  I have been praying for the Spirit of God to come and dwell in my heart, but I'd really like to see God, in His Glory, come into our midst!  Can you imagine what would happen if we, as an online church came together with Pastor Dion and sang out "Lord I long to see your Glory..."  And then He did come and show us His Glory, in each of our homes - - What A Glorious Day That Would Be!!!!!

Hello Jim. . . That is very beautiful message for this past Wednesday night.  Spiritually,  God's Word is full of wonderful encouragement to help us to stay strong.  I find it very difficult to find others in my area who are even remotely interested in this kind of learning.  God bless you.
