Grace vs. False Grace

  • Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. KJV.

    Christians must stop living in the world under the banner of false grace thinking that it is OK with God who provides a way out of sin and fleshly corruption.

    It means serving a false god to one's own liking and worshipping an idol which a person sets up within their hearts and minds contrary to the ways of the God of the Bible. 

    Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 

    2 Peter 1:3-4 According as His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue: 4 By which are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

    THIS MEANS THAT IF YOU TRULY KNOW GOD THEN YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND HOW HE FEELS ABOUT THE SIN THAT CRUCIFIED HIS SON SO THAT HIS PEOPLE MIGHT PURSUE HOLINESS 

    I am not talking about things we struggle with contrary to our desire to be holy and obedient. I am talking about living and always pursuing God with the desire to be changed into the likeness of Jesus until He brings us into His glory and freedom. I'm talking about a halfhearted lukewarm attitude that will cause us to be spat out of God's mouth. 

    God hates sin because it destroys His creation. As any loving Father, He has given us boundaries to live by, not to try and spoil His children's fun but to protect us from Satan's destructive temptations. The wages of sin is death and we read in Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 

    We cannot do what we want and live as we please if we desire to be followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot abuse the grace of God and think we'll get away with it. We did not make it in our own selfish little fleshly worlds and when we turn to God through Jesus Christ we don't belong to ourselves any longer and we cannot live and do as we please. If we continue in sin and continue to do and live like the world then did we really undergo a true conversion?

    1 Corinthians 6:9-20 Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body. 19 What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own? 20 For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

    We cannot keep on living in sin and think we'll get away with it. God shall judge the works of every man. 

    Romans 2:1-11  Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whosoever you are that judge: for in what you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you that judge do the same things. 2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them who commit such things. 3 And do you think, O man, that judge them who do such things, and do the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God? 4 Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? 5 But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek; 10 But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

    It is written in 1 John 1:6-9 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    The Lord said the following about His blood and grace in a prophetic utterance. 

    My Grace never overrules My Father’s holiness! My blood covers any sin that you have confessed, repented of, and turned from. But grace will not cover unrepented sin, therefore, you will not be able to approach My Father with it and survive, Romans 6:15-16.

    Luke 13: 2-9 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose you that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think you that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. 6 He spoke also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. 7 Then said he unto the vinedresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbers it the ground? 8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and fertilize it: 9 And if it bears fruit, well: and if not, then after that you shall cut it down.

    Have you ever wondered why Jesus cursed the fig tree in Mark 11?

    We read; 13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if perhaps he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. 14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of you hereafter forever. And his disciples heard it.

    When the Lord Jesus Christ cursed the fig tree, He ushered in the new covenant because His blood removes sin and does not cover it as the fig leaves that Adam and Eve used in the garden when their nakedness was uncovered. 

    Genesis 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

    The Lord revealed to me that a man and woman that doesn't turn to the Lord in true repentance is like  Adam and Eve that runs to the fig tree and are in danger of being cursed. We need to appropriate the blood of Jesus by turning away from our sins. 

    Hebrews 10:26-31 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much worse punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done insult unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs unto me, I will recompense, says the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

    Hebrews 6:7-8 For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes often upon it, and brings forth plants fit for them by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God: 8 But that which bears thorns and briars is worthless, and is near unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

    If we continue to live like the world then how will people know that our God is holy and that He hates sin?

    Ephesians 4: 1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation by which you are called. 
     
    I see many Christians sleeping together outside of marriage that will send them to damnation because God hates fornication. It is a sin unto death. 

    1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that you should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor; 5 Not in the lust of passion, even as the Gentiles who know not God: 6 That no man transgress and wrong his brother in any matter: because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. 7 For God has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. 8 He therefore that despises, despises not man, but God, who has also given unto us his Holy Spirit.
