This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you affirm confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men; but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they ...

There was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. He was trying to see who Jesus was, and couldn't because of the crowd, because he was short. He ran on ahead, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was to pass that way. When Jesus came to the place, he ...

Potatoes Of Faith

What does she mean, Potatoes of Faith ? So glad you asked… I was lent a move called “FAITH like POTATOES”, based on an inspiring true story…I was not feeling well yesterday so I popped this DVD in and got comfortable. It was not until the end of the movie, that I got it.. And I really did not get it until the Lord nudged me in the shower this Saturday morning.

I have included a few blurbs on growing potatoes, and the next time you buy a bag of potatoes, I want you to look real hard at them, maybe even keeping one on the counter as a remainder..

Potatoes grow under the soil, so does our faith.

When we except Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we have just planted our “POTATO OF FAITH” on and in HIM.  As young Christians, our prayers are answered very quickly because GOD wants us to know HE is real…As you continue on your journey, and become a mature Christian, your prayers take more time, more testing, more waiting, more FAITH .

Just how important is it to have “FAITH”? Well, to start with, just look in the back of your BIBLE under the word “FAITH”  or …

On Bible Gate way, you can put a search in on the word “FAITH” .I came up with 458 references to this word in the New International Version.

    Romans 10:17

So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.

    Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

    Luke 17:6

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamore tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

So out of 458 scripture references to the word “FAITH” how do you apply this to your life ??? You make a commitment to have a closer walk with Lord, you learn more about HIM, you dig in your bible a little more, you watch inspiring movies like this one that maybe can be borrowed from a friend, or you look in your library, Christian bookstore and the like. You find and read devotionals, you search out inspiring books to glean from.

We serve a GOD that is invisible, how do make HIM visible in our daily walk.?? If GOD is speaking to us all the time, and directing our steps all the time, then how do we make that a real visible in our lives?

    Psalm 31:24

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

    Psalm 38:15

For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

Time is the test, the test is “FAITH” we have “HOPE” in HIM to bring it to pass in HIS time.

You can not “KNOW” him unless you “SEEK” HIM. If you do not “SEEK” HIM for a closer walk, it will be impossible to please HIM…

The true test of your “FAITH” is just like growing potatoes. What might be seen on the top of the soil for you?  Maybe you have stopped watching a certain program, going to certain events, or have cut off certain relationships, all on the visible, but it is your “FAITH” that GOD matures like the potatoes under the good soil, in the dark.

Moisturizing us with HIS love from above. Like an awesome sunrise or sunset, how about a snow on Christmas Morning, or a little birdie perched outside on your windowsill looking in the window at you…All in the visible, sent from GOD , directly to you , to let you know HE loves you…

If you LOOK for HIM you will FIND HIM..

I hope, today, as you look at how the “POTATO” grows, you will see GOD, as indeed HE did make the “POTATO” in the first place…Do you think HE put that there for us to see just that ?? I am going to step out in “FAITH” and say I BELIEVE HE DID !

Seed potatoes are planted approximately 12 inches apart and approximately 4 to 6 inches deep in rows that are between 2½ and 3 feet apart. A hill is formed for each row of potatoes so that the soil forms mounds around the plant, which helps to protect new tubers from the sun. Potatoes are 80% water; therefore, good soil moisture is key in all stages of growth. As the growing season progresses, leaves will develop above ground and roots will develop under ground.

The roots absorb the nutrients in the soil, and the leaves absorb sunlight that is converted into energy for tuber-growth and also protect the hill from direct sunlight. As the growing season comes to an end the branches will begin to lose their color and wilt, this is a sign that the tuber skins are setting and they will soon be ready for harvest

Need a visual go to you tube and type in how do potatoes grow..

Albert Chauedited: October 28, 2015 Having real faith is like stepping off the boat and walk on water in faith knowing the law of physics says you will drown, or like Daniel and his 3 friends walked into incredible fire and knowing they will be burned to death or saved by their faith.
