    Thank you Rebecca. My journey of Adversity has been a long one. When God started me writing, he used bits and pieces of my story to inspre or encourage others no matter how painful it has been. These stories, are to illumante Him. WHen he has me write, He brings me the title, the scripture, and the body, and the closing of the message. When he calls me to write, my most painful moments are intertwined into them. These stories are all about Him, how he gives and takes a way and how He even uses loss for His Glory.  My journey has brought me through many areas that others have been through. Like being married to an alcholic for 23 years and on and on I could go. My daughters testomony contines, after all these years to inspire others so although she is gone from my life for now, she contines to reach out to others. God does indeed use us in a way only He can through what ever horrible experiences we may have.Thank you for your kind words.

Last week I was invited by Judy Johnson to pray for her sister's back. {Mrs. Mackelviene, I think is how you spell it} Today, her husband Bobby came to see me where I was seated and told me how God had healed her back when I had prayed for her and that she has not had the pain ever sense. That showed me the AWE that you are talking about. I say; "God you are awesome!

    I watched this on Saturday sometimes I am so busy I am just like Lord if want me watch Refreshing Hope just remind me that day well at EXACTALLY 4pm the Lord told me to turn it on also the first song Pastor Dion sang was already running through my head.I definaly needed that word it's hard to press in at times for a breakthrough when we are traveling through storms of lifes trials but I know it's something the Lord been telling me to keep pushing through even though it's hard and sometimes I feel alot times I got lead on my feet trying to push through these heavy storms of life.

It also is a confirmation to do more, because we do have the internet and other resources, we can literally go into all the world,, The word declares that the word is not bound, i have been hesitant, but i realize that it is time to do more outreach, and extend it to include on-line ministry. I reeeaaaalllly...  moreFYI EVERYONE: This is a looooooong comment lolol....Just a fair warning HA! Wow, Leslie. This was amazing to read. It shows me that we all are more alike than we tend to really see (if that makes sense lol). I have to admit something. I reeeaaaalllly don't like to read. I can read very well. But I just don't like to, because I have these comprehension issues. I have to re-read things, over and over, sentence by sentence (which really stinks, especially given that God's Word is a BOOK lol). Now, I saw that this was pretty dern long. So, I kind of skimmed through it, and read an entire 6 line paragraph!! WOOHOO! lol... I'm not sure if anyone has heard of this way of studying Scripture, but, I was taught that if I am given a Scripture to read, I need to read the one before it, so I know what it's about. hehehh... I read another paragraph and another, then I finished the whole blog entry lololol. It makes so much sense to me. I love it! I do have a question though. When I was Baptized in the Holy Spirit, I was soooo thirsty and hungry for Jesus (it was CRAZY..as I'm SURE you all know lol). When I was learning to pray (and learning how to follow Jesus in all ways), I came across the Scripture: Matt. 6:7... Don't pray like heathens/pageans.  (Oh, let me tell you this first: when I thought that I was talking too much to God, when I had learned what that Scripture really meant [what I THOUGHT it meant], I kind of stopped praying a little....not completely, but I wasn't praying as much, sometimes not at all, for weeks. Even though my Papa God was still right here with me. It was like He was tapping on my shoulder at times. And other times I would feel Him sitting in front of me, staring lol. I have felt Him CRY. It's been nuts) . For a long time after I received the Holy Spirit, I was talkin' n' talkin' n' talkin' away to Him lol. Like, ALL DAY. lol (I still find myself doing this occasionally, including this am, and I caught myself so I stopped). But, when I read that Scripture, I looked up what it meant. I had this mentor, and she told me that God doesn't want to hear the same thing over and over again, and something else...can't recall... But, I got a little scared, because at that point, I was able to see in to the Spiritual Realms, and experiencing things that people REALLY think are CRAZY lol. Of course, as everyone here knows, satan really likes to go after the new Christian. Well, that's what he was doing (still does). I don't know if satan told me this or not, but I feel like all that time I was talking away to Jesus, I was praying and speaking to him like a heathen or a pagan. THAT RIGHT THERE SCARES ME. Because I am SOOOO in Love with Jesus (whenever I say that, in prayer, in my head, or to someone else, I tear up lol). And I am thinking, have I wasted all this time doing the wrong thing, hindering me from getting closer to Jesus? Because my life has been a dang roller coaster. I know that we all have them times in our lives. It's been a roller coaster, every single day. Some days I will have a couple up's n' down's. And others, it will be literally all day long. A lot of people just don't understand why I have had such a hard time in the last 2 years. I don't either. And I am wondering if that's why. So, here it is...the QUESTION lol: Have I been praying like a heathen or pagan, and if I have, that is what has been holding my relationship back a bit, and why I have had such an awful 2 years, isn't it? We all struggle with the "why me" dilemma, God is molding us and letting things that we don't understand happen all the time. He sees the big picture. Let's face it, we are in a sinful world so it stands to reason that we will struggle with something. Focus on gratitude, be thankful for all that we do have. #1 A Savior that died for Us. When I feel a little whiny, I start naming all the things I do have, but take for granted. It's all a matter of perspective. I would rather have nothing, when I know I can be forever with God. Everything in this world is temporary, The Bible clearly states we do not belong to this world. We are just Spiritual beings having a human experience, and because of that it become hard somethings. Gratitude is an amazing thing that will get us pass it all.  less

Funny, my name just happens to be Leslie Anne ( I don't use my middle name like that) Like you I found a place to escape in this movie longing for something. I too grew up with an alcoholic father and a mother who did not protect us. I grew up in a Catholic home, not strict, but one day while on my knees at confession, I remember saying, there has got to be more than this and it left me with questions. I was in my young teens. I met Jesus just 10 months after the birth of my first child in December of 1981. My daughter would turn one on February 3 1981. She would only know a Christian mother, as she grew, I grew in the Lord. Life has never been the same since I met Jesus as I know we can all say. I came to know the lord through the faithfulness of my neighbor/landlord at the time. I then began to attend her church which at the time was an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church. I was grounded in that church , but many moves in my life caused me to be in many church's, different Baptist Churches along with a few Pentecostal ones. I have been in different states under many different preachers. It has been quite a journey. Thank you Sunnie for sharing this message, I look forward to reading more that you post.
