RHM is hosting a corporate (group) fast during the month of April. While we normally fast in private, I believe the Lord wants me to invite the Refreshing Hope members to participate with us in a community fast. We plan on doing a Daniel (vegan) fast, but if you have dietary or other restrictions, you can fast in whatever way your health allows. For more information, you can view the blog post here: https://www.refreshinghope.org/blogs/1/3013/intentional-growth

The first of December ... the Christmas season! My prayer, Lord:
Slow me down! I want moments with You to remember that You came to save me. Christmas is about You. Help me to look to You, remember You, point to You in all I do. Lord, thank you for moments to be still this Christmas and remember simply that You came for me. Amen

Dion. . .I have a question that has me in a conundrum. . .
I have an EXTREMELY tight income. After bills, I am lucky if I have $10 left. Due to household bills, I can no longer tithe. I used to donate to several Christian organizations….unfortunately, I can no longer do so. I REALLY miss tithing, but I am financially in able to.
I heard a pastor say (in reference to people in general) “‘I don’t have enough money to tithe.’ That is no excuse. Tithe anyway.”
I’ve asked a pastor the SAME question TWICE….and he has given me TWO different answers.
So, can you give me your opinion on the matter?
Sandy Neff
Thank you for your service. Your words come at a perfect time for so many of us. The Holy Spirit is working through me and is giving me strength. Your message was perfect, thanks again and Amen! God is Good.

Thanks for obeying God in this Spiritual Endeavor of shutting down our plates, and whatever area those of you who are believing God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ for, as we afflict this flesh of ours for strongholds to be broken according to Isaiah 58 chapter.
I'm doing good so far Pastor; as we enter into week two here, I ask for each of you to touch and agree with me in the area of "Intercessory Prayer". That is the area I'm being challenged in; I've fasted in times past, and realize how essential prayer and intercessory prayer goes hand in hand with the fasting. Pray that I awaken even earlier in the morning to get that time in. I'm an educator, and I get up at 4:30 to 4:45 a.m. during the weekday to prepare for work. I need to get up at 4 a.m. to at least get 30 minutes of uninterrupted time in prayer. Thanks in advance for checking in on us. I would like to share with the family my devotional that I typed up this morning for my family and friends; I think it would encourage us all:
Good morning Family and Friends, Here's my devotional reading for you today:
As we begin this week, I want to let you know that life can and will present some painful moments. Just know that it's "Temporary", and with time, focus, determination, and Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, it will subside and pass.
Success, Achievement, and Victory comes with pain and suffering; you can't have one without the other. So don't be fearful, be resilient, steadfast, and unmovable; God will see you through, as you seek Him for what you're trying to succeed in.
Please click the attachment to see the quote speaking to the topic.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." less

Fasting ignites our prayers, but if we fail to pray then we miss out on a lot of the benefits of the fast. Also the Word, things begin to leap out at you that you never noticed before. But again, if you don't listen to it or read, then you miss out on that as well.
