ACCOUNTABLE

THE BIBLE STATES WE WILL HAVE TO BE ACCOUNTABLE TO GOD.  IF GOD FORGIVES ALL SIN, THAT YOU ASK FORGIVENESS FOR, AND NEVER REMEMBERS IT AGAIN.  WHAT DO WE HAVE TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR?  THIS SCARES ME.  THANK YOU.

Hi Bella. When you are doing all of that, you have nothing to worry about. As I understand it, the white throne judgment is for those that have rejected Christ. Believers are judged for rewards, crowns, prizes if you will. Some will have more than others and it is based on what we have done, with what we have been given - like the parable of the ten talents.

Romans 10:9 "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

So "If we have accepted the Lord Jesus as our personal savior, confessed our sins and are trying to live according to Gods word"  I think we will make it to heaven.

I am too young in the word to quote scripture. I just know that I have read several times that we will have to be accountable before God about how we lived our lives.  I also read about the great throne judgement. What are we to be accountable for?  What is the great white throne judgement?  If we have accepted the Lord Jesus as our personal savior, confessed our sins and are trying to live according to Gods word, tell about Jesus when the Holy Spirit wants us to, why am I so scared about being judged or being held accountable...…….will I not be allowed to go to Heaven when I die????

Love one another...  As I understand it, when we ask Him for forgiveness, we are forgiven, and it is forgotten. 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” That said, there are tons of unconfessed sin in the body of Christ, many towards each other.

If you are referencing Romans 14:12, Paul was continuing on what Jesus said with "Love one another". It is always a challenge to keep unity in the Church, amidst the diversity of opinions. Our judgmental attitudes towards each other are a stench to God, and as Paul wrote:

"You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat."

God is the Judge. If I missed your point, please clarify and give me the verse you are wondering about. Be blessed  :)
