Haven't you known? Haven't you heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't faint. He isn't weary. His understanding is unsearchable. Isaiah 40:28 WEB
It was a hot Saturday evening in the summer and I was exhausted, and in a pretty bad mood by the time we got home. We had spent the whole day pulling network cables through the attic of our church and came home to find an unexpected tax bill in the mail box for five hundred dollars.
I read over the letter and angrily said, "If we had spent the time working in our business that we have spent working at the church over the last month, we would have the money to pay this" and tossed it on the table. Harsh, but I was not feeling very godly at the time.
When we went to church the following morning, one of the elders handed me an envelope. He said the church felt they should pay us something for all the work that we had been doing recently. I knew before I opened it what was inside, it was a check for five hundred dollars. Without us mentioning the tax bill to anyone, God had told them the amount to give us, and when.
God understands. You can be honest with Him. He knows what you are going through. The temper tantrums that we throw don't even matter. He knows what you have bottled up inside and why you act the way that you do. So don't give up when you stumble, just get up and try again. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I trust that You will take care of me. You know my needs before I ask and I know that you are a rewarder of those that seek You. Please be with me this day and work Your perfect will in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen!
