He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Eccl. 3:11 ESV
I grew up on a farm in the country, but always had a passion for computers. I never actually owned one as we were pretty poor at the time. I prayed a lot for a computer of my own, but did not actually get a computer in the way that others did. Instead, I started 'attracting' computer parts, and even in the country, somehow they found their way to me. A motherboard, some memory, a hard disk, finally a power supply from someone at church.
Eventually I had almost all the parts, but I had no case to put it in. So I grabbed a cardboard box, cut some holes in it, and built my first computer. An Intel 8086 clocked at 5 mhz. It was quite a sight and one of the slowest ever made, but it was perfect! It shaped my future, and I still use those skills each day. God did give me a computer, but assembly was required.
Looking back, there are so many times in my life that if I had gotten what I prayed for, it would have detrimental to my growth. God knows the end from the beginning, and He knows what is best for you. Relax and trust His timing. Sometimes assembly is required for your growth.Prayer: Father, please give me the things that I need to grow and a fresh vision for the plan that you have for me, in the name of Jesus.
