    Lorna Smetak I liked this one. You got me on 2 things. Smoking and Football. I make time with Jesus by music and bible verses during the week days. The biggest thing is bitting the tongue when something goes wrong with a play.

So many times in life God has shown me to trust in his plan and know his plans are for our good and a hope for a future in him. This particular season in my life has me stepping out in faith to know that God will provide regardless of the fact that he lead me from a hostile job environment and into the peace of healing and waiting. When God's timing is right he will open that door of opportunity and guide me to where he wants me to be gainfully employed and until then I will be content that I have more quality time praising his name and serving a great and awesome God who provides well for his faithful children Thank you for sharing with us. What I love about my Jesus, he knew exactly what my heart desired..love, peace,hope, validation, so when I think about his goodness and all he restored in me...my faith in never up for discussion. I was pondering on this yesterday, when my God reminded, that he pulled me from the hell that was living in my head. I won't be going again.

    Patty Martin Thank you for this timely word!  So often, I am concerned about the way my house looks and how everything seems to pile up around me.  I feel that there is not enough time to get it all done.  At 59 years old, I am living a single life, so...  moreThank you for this timely word!  So often, I am concerned about the way my house looks and how everything seems to pile up around me.  I feel that there is not enough time to get it all done.  At 59 years old, I am living a single life, so I have to attend to the inside of the house and the yard work, and work a full-time job.  I often bring paper work home rather than stay in the classroom and do it.  To say I feel overwhelmed at times is an understatement.  I have been a Martha more than not during my lifetime, and I wonder how many opportunities with Jesus that I have missed. I love the story of Martha and Mary, because it puts what is really important into perspective, and that is spending quality time with Jesus.  When I spend time with him, all of the overwhelming emotions I experience just drift away.  I love the thought that he requires nothing of me at this time, and I am free to feel the calming peace of his presence.   May I have more Mary moments in the future!  less
