Moses said to Yahweh, 'O Lord,* I am not eloquent, neither before now, nor since you have spoken to your servant; for I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.' Yahweh said to him, 'Who made man's mouth? Or who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Isn't it I, Yahweh? Now therefore go, and ...

When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2 WEBThe movie "Pride and Prejudice" might have scored good ratings at the theatre, but it will not score you points with God. He looks at your heart instead of your clothing. These are two great hindrances to the Holy S...

For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn't hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth....

God's Faithfulness 8/23/16

  • Life has been weighing on me very heavily lately. As my health continues to slow, there are everyday decisions I have to make about this or that. Yesterday, I went to the bank and had Asher put on my account so that in the event, I can not get into a store, then he will have his own debit card in order to pay for the items. Of course this is still my account, I am not worried about him taking advantage of any thing, he is fully aware of what is in the account. It was another realization of where I am in this stage of life. I have to tell you, it is not for the faint of heart. I have shed many a tear, trembled in fear, tossed and turned in the night and let my mind wander to the what ifs.

The threatening bills are coming in, you know the ones, if you don't pay this by this date we are sending it to an attorney. All I can do is trust the Lord to work it all out. I have exaushted my efforts in looking for outside help. Someone suggested, but I am unsure of that , lots of questions.

I have exhausted my efforts in looking for jobs, places to help, what options do I have, and frankly, bleak seems a good word, but I know God says in Romans 8:28, all I can do is trust Him.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall Supply / Philippians 4:6 be anxious for nothing

I have to tell you God has truly sent His angels to minister unto me. I am not one to ask for money or help from others, it is usually me who helps others. But God knows whom He can use, and whom will have a tender heart when God calls them to help me.

The lady who is paying my rent for three months is a woman I have never met. She lives in another state. I have spoken about her before, but for those who don't know I will share the story again. Many years ago now, at least 5, I was opening up mail at work. It was an invoice that would be sent to the accounting department. On the letter head was a cross and scripture. In the envelope was a Christian tract. Since I opened the mail I always got the invoice.,when I got the invoice I made sure the person in accounting got the tract that went with it, thus I was an extended arm of the one who put it in the envelope. It took me about a year, then one day, I felt the urge to call the company, I wanted to thank the person who stuffed the envelopes. I spoke to a woman for about 15 minutes, I told her my story about opening the invoices, and I thanked her for her devotion to the tracts. She said she had been stuffing them for 35 years with tracts. We had a great conversation. And in that conversation, I told her that I sent out devotionals and asked her if she would be interested in me sending them her way. She agreed and I added her to my devotional list. We only talked twice on the phone in all these years. We don’t exchange emails daily, but my devotionals and stories go her way. She has been following me since our first conversation all those years ago. She has helped me in ways only God knows and her help has come out of blue. I did not know at the time but she and her husband own the company I called that day. God has used that one phone call, so many years ago now, to link up with a fellow sister in Christ, a vessel whom He used on my behalf. It has been my testimony over the years, that she has read that enables her to reach out through the Lords prompting on my behalf. And it is her testimony of Gods love that she puts forth as He directs her to.

    Ecclesiastes 3

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

You do not know who will influence your life nor when. Sometimes God uses one person one time andthen that person is never in your life again. Sometimes a person is so far away that your life can only be scene from afar. BUT GOD SEES ALL.

As my life continues to undergo a refining, and my thoughts go this and that way, God continues to remind me that HE has all in control and that I must trust Him to work out the details. I have to remind myslef, He just took care of all of August, the rent, the utilities, a battery for the car, an oil change , a hair cut, and a few other extras, HE PROVIDED IT ALL !!!!! Since He has now set me up for the next three months for rent, I am trusting HIM to provided for the rest of bills and even for the car registration renewal. We have doctors appointments next month that takes a co-pay. There is still prescriptions, laundry and gas for the car, but GOD says, He will supply. In this enclosed devotional I read this morning in my inbox, HE SENDS ME A REMINDER. I hope you will be encouraged by it too.

Thank You for your continued prayer support and love for this family; Leslie

    Jesus Always, Day 6

Do not be terrified or discouraged, for I am with you wherever you go.It’s easy for My followers to feel frightened and pessimistic when the mainstream voices in this world speak so heavily against them. Looking at this life through godless, biased lenses will indeed pull you down. Christian courage is the antidote to this poisonous input, and it is nourished by the knowledge that I am always with you.

It is crucial to remember that what you can see of reality is only a very small piece of the whole. When Elijah was deeply discouraged, he said he was the only one who had remained faithful. Yet there were thousands in Israel who had not bowed down to Baal. Elijah was blinded by his isolation and his discouragement. Similarly, Elisha’s servant was terrified because he couldn't see what Elisha saw: horses and chariots of fire all around to protect them from enemy forces.

Beloved, not only am I with you, but I have unlimited resources to help you. So look beyond the way things appear, and take courage!

John 16:33

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect]peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]
