    Peter answered him and said, 'Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.' He said, 'Come!' Peter stepped down from the boat, and walked on the waters to come to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, 'Lord, save ...

    Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed. Mark 1:34 NIVIt was early in the morning as I walked into my little prayer room. After praying for a few minutes I sat in the quiet solitude, mostly wondering how we we...

Blessings 2015

  • Where do you start when God has been so good to you? When God brought me out of my job in October he led me out with a Severance package. Letting my paychecks and insurance stay in place until Dec.30th. Then it was said that they would not fight me on unemployment if I did not find a job by 12/30. Although He has not yet opened the job door for me, I am trusting He will soon.

    God opened the way for me and Asher to get back to Church, been going now for 9 weeks. In those 9 weeks we have met new people, helped in setting up there Christmas decorations, been to a craft project. Stood in line twice at there food/clothes pantry. ( the church is ¼ of a mile down the street). The pastor from the first day we began going has been praying for me for a job. Just before Thanksgiving, I had been trying to figure out the unemployment thing. So on the Sunday Nov. 22 I asked the Pastor if there was anyone in the church that knew there way around unemployment and how to navigate it. He said he knew someone personally and that he would bring me her number the next Sunday, Nov. 29. He kept his word, so on Monday November 30 I got in touch with the woman and she guided me around the web page, letting me call her as many times as I needed to answer any questions. She led me to a Job fair on December 2 which was just in two days of my filing. ( Since then, I now have the pastors cell phone where I can text him or call him, I have his church email, and he recently joined Refreshing Hope Ministries on line and I now have another link to him, we have also met with him in his office at the church )

    I have to say I was a wreck by then and I looked all disheveled. So I called my hair dresser who is not open on Mondays and left a message for an appointment on Tuesday December 1st ( Asher and I both needed a cut badly) . I told her I was out of work, had to go to a job fair, and that I needed to have a hair cut and color needed to look good. I was going to charge it on my MC. All was set, until that night when I remembered she did not take credit cards any more. I was distraught, and knew I would have to cancel my hair apt. in the morning. So with a little prayer, I just said Lord, I need my hair to come out good in some way since there is no way to get this cut or colored at this time. My appointment was at 12:30 on Tuesday, I called the shop at 9:30 and told her I had to cancel my appointment. I said I forgot you only took credit cards, and since being out of a job, that is what I have been living on. She said ok, and hung up. Well, with in minutes of hanging up with her, she called me back and said, did you say you lost your job? I said yes. She said, I know I have inconvenienced a lot of people by taking the use of credit cards away so Ill tell you what, you just come and you can write me a check and I will hold it until you tell me I can cash it she said, I trust you, I know you are good for it. I was elated by this opportunity needless to say, was not sure how a hair cut for Asher and a cut and color for me was going to get paid, but my hair dresser was willing to wait for the money. So Asher and I went for our 12:30 appointment. I got my hair cut and frosted, Asher got his hair cut, and when we were threw I asked her how much I owed her , with my check book open I was ready to write the amount when she looked at me and smiled, She said, “MERRY CHRISTMAS” and I cried, she gave us our cuts and color to us as a gift. My hairdressers name is “ GRACE” ,really it is. God had blessed me through Grace with such a wonderful gift. So now when I look in the mirror, I can see God's hand on me. ( Grace is getting the good that we do not deserve.)

    The next gift came when a friend, Eva, whom I only see once a year, invited me out for dinner. She and I used to work together 7 years ago. We stay in touch, she is one of my prayer warriors. We text, and email. She bought me a gift which I put in the car before we went into the restaurant. I had wrapped a little inspirational book and gave that to her as a gift. We ate dinner, talked, laughed, and cried. It was a great time. We hugged, said Merry Christmas, and went our separate ways. Well when I got home, I opened my gift from her. In the bag were items handpicked that were tailor fit for me. Two dark chocolate candy bars. Some devotional books, and Coconut Spray and body lotion from Bath and Body works, my all time favorite fragrance. (But you what was so funny about this, is that I had a bottle of Vanilla Fields on my dresser, almost gone, and I said to my self, Lord, my perfume is almost gone, that’s all I said, and in this bag from my friend, was not only a different fragrance I loved, but a matching lotion too. )When I opened her card, in it she hand wrote lovingly, and included a $20.00 bill. She had given me such a wonderful gift not only material, but of her time as well. I was blessed that night indeed !

    My next gift came from my handicapped neighbor, Maryann. She has to order everything by a catalog and this was no different. While we were visiting her, our gift had been delivered to her house. I was not going to open it then, but she insisted. In the box was this wooden box filled with English muffins, jellies, mini breads, danishes. It was a very generous gift. I took every thing out of the wooden box, and placed the box on my table. It has rope handles, and baking sayings all over it. It sits in the middle of my kitchen table and we put our candle in it. We can think of Maryann each time we pass the table or sit down to eat. It is a great way to keep her in our prayers.

    The next gift came from Renee. She and I have been friends many years now. She lives in Glen Burnie Maryland. She and I met while I was in Johns Hopkins Hospital when we were dealing with my daughter, Curry, when she was diagonalized with cancer. I had sought out a local church in Baltimore, MD where JHH was. Renee was one of the ladies whom the church sent to visit us there. She and I became instant friends , that was over 20 years ago now. With her funds already low, she was blessed with a gift of $100.00 of which she re gifted for me and sent it in the mail.

    A dear friend , Jodie, who has helped me many times in the past sent me a generous check for $200.00. She lives in Justice, IL. I have never met her. I have only talked with her twice on the phone. When I was working at revcar, her company Archer Screw sent there invoices to our office. Our company bought product from them. Since I opened all the mail at that time, I would open her invoices and in the envelope was a Christian Track. In voice after invoice I opened , she always had a track. It was about a year later, that I found the company phone number and called. I wanted to praise the one who stuffed these invoices with the word of God. It was Jodie who answered the phone, it was her that stuffed them and had been doing so for over 30 years. From that one phone conversation we became friends. I was sending out devotionals then, and asked her if she was interested. She said she did not have much time to read stuff but it was ok if I sent them. Over the years, she has read my very lengthy stories, followed my emails, and corresponded many times via email. God has used her to bless me many times over the years.

    In correspondence with my Pastor via email, he wrote me and said someone had given him a kroger gift card for us for Christmas. It was a $50.00 card. He presented it to me the Sunday before Christmas. I asked him to please thank the person who was so generous in their giving to us, who were still practically strangers. ( Personally I think it was him, but I do not know that)

    In a generous gift of love, a dear friend Tamara, who prays for me daily and follows my prayer requests, knew very well my needs. She sought out a friend of hers who adopted us for Christmas and sent us $50.00 in gift cards from Walmart.

    God has been lovingly whispering sayings to me during this time;

    “I am leading you , step by step through your life / “ Stop trying to work things out before their times have come” / “In order to hear My voice , you must release all your worries into my care.”/ “ Let me free you from fear that is hiding deep inside you”. He has spoken through the words in a song over and over, “ Every little thing is going to be alright”. He has spoken through several movies we have watched over the weeks, where certain words of encouragement have been louder then others on our behalf. We have words spoken from the pulpit where Asher and I just looked at each other.

    How can one doubt there is a God who will do what HE says he is going to do. But my GOD shall supply all your needs…….. I have to admit, confess, that I have had doubt, I have had unbelief, I have had anxiousness and worry during this time of uncertainty, but when I look back and recount my blessings HE has bestowed upon me during this time I have to stop and weep before him. Asking His forgiveness for not trusting as I should. He in turn hugs me and tells me again 'EVERY LITTLE THING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT”

    I hope I have encouraged you in some way with these many blessings. I hope you have seen how God can and will make a way when there seems to be no way.

     ( The enclosed photo is of my dining room nook. The box on the table is the one that had the food items in it from my neighbor Maryann. It fits so perfectly)

David and Dianna Wyles  Our Heavenly Father is a wonderful God! His blessings never end! I look back and see where he has been blessing and providing all along as well! Such a comfort to know that even when we are giving in to Satan's lies of fear and doubt, he loves us anyway and wants us to see and receive those blessings through the storms in life! Praise Jehovah, Father, provider, healer, peace giver, truth keeper,  ALL in ALL! THANK YOU! Thank you for always loving us and giving so freely! This is great encouragement! Thank you Leslie :)
