"Every tear shed you will reap in joy!"

  • Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? (Psalms 56:8) That is the scripture so delicately placed upon my heart by my King this morning.

We all have cried what may seem like a river of tears and you wonder why God would collect them all in a bottle. Well, He gave me that answer as he softly spoke these words to me this morning, "In order to catch your tears in my bottle, I have to be right here with you….close enough for your tears to fall into my hands as they roll off your cheek.” It humbled me so much as the picture of our Savior, our Jesus, our Friend holding our face in His hands and catching every tear. Not one of them drops to the ground!

He is never at a distance. He is leaning into touch and share in your pain. Your tears and brokenness bring Him close to you. Close your eyes and imagine Him….the God who created the universe and slung the stars into space….leaning in, cupping your face in His hands and capturing every tear. These bottles of tears, a reminder that He never left us or forsook us not one time. A reminder that He saw every moment of brokenness. A reminder that He was preparing a place for us. A reminder that every tear He shed on the cross was for you.

The Lord showed me this morning a shelf that held beautiful glass bottles of different shapes and sizes. Some were new and others were very old and covered in dust. The beauty of the contents just seemed to shine. Every time you have cried, every time you have fallen, the tears that came from your eyes, that bottle is where they fell. Every broken heart you had, every promise unkept, those tears on your pillow, this bottle has kept. Every tear your El Shaddai holds and even mixes his own tears with yours. As these words pour out from me through his powerful anointing, I can hear Him gently whisper, "Every tear shed you will reap in joy!"

Psalm 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? KJV.

I shed tears when my wife took ill and I begged her not to give up.I shed tears when she suddenly passed away. I'm a man and I admit I've cried an ocean of tears since then, almost 7 years now. I guess it went from mourning to just missing her. I've had a hard lesson to learn through loss that she was the only one for me and at times I was to foolish and took her for granted. She was too young it seems at 37years old for her candle to be blown out. I always thought she would bury me first but, what God has allowed can't be changed. I know He has His reasons and He's taught me to live with that. He's also showing me that it's time to quit wallowing in grief, move forward and live the rest of my life, however long it may be. I still have Him,my three sons and mother to live for. So Father God has taught me to focus on Him and all the answered prayers and blessings He has done for me and my family, instead of broken dreams and what I've lost.........
