We get to choose. Once when Jesus was preaching from a boat, He told a parable about a man that sowed wheat in H...

There is so much that could be said about this, but today we cover 'The Gospel.' The word Gospel means 'glad tidings, good...

    Hear, then, the parable of the farmer. When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom, and doesn't understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. Matthew 13:18 WEBOnce while praying about something, I felt like I heard a small whisper back from the Lord, encou...

Learn To Discover HIS GLORY

  • He is a divine perfect work of regeneration and sanctification in those who allow His hand to move.

    We need to be educated in the ways of this new life in Christ if we want to discover the glory and reality of it. Did not Jesus declare in John 10:10 that He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly? Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. In other words, as we allow the Lord as the Sun of Righteousness to invade our hearts and as He rises in us with healing in His majestic wings, we shall find that God is faithful to expel all darkness from our lives. He is a loving and a faithful God who only wants the best for His beloved children. He wants to become your best Friend and reveal Himself to you as your complete freedom.

    As born-again children of God, we earnestly want to experience the true freedom and victory of the Holy Spirit and also the holiness of the Lord as we allow God to take over our lives. We don't want to be just forgiven. We want to experience the fullness of this salvation for which Jesus paid such a costly price and died such a horrible death. Surely there has to be so much more to this Christian life than a daily struggle with sin and stumbling over human brokenness and weaknesses? If sin has the power to enslave us then surely Almighty God must have the divine power to deliver us? If fallen created spirits has the ability to indwell us and if they have the ability to keep us in bondage through various sinful passions; don't you think that the Creator God Almighty has the ability to rescue us from these prisons of despair and hopelessness, or do you think Satan (a fallen created being) is stronger than the God who created him? Can the creation be greater than its Creator?

    May I please remind you that Satan is a creation who operates in a realm of limitation? Our God is the Creator and He operates in a realm of limitless power, infinite wisdom, authority, majesty, sovereignty, beauty and endless resources. He is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent and He inhabits eternity, need I say more?

    It is His nature to love, to be joyful, to be patient and to be kind. He is the epitome of goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control and He is for you. Your name is written in the palm of His hand, no wonder He smiles over you. His thoughts toward you are precious and they outnumber the grains of sand. His identical twins watch over you and they love to follow you, they are known in Gods kingdom as Goodness and Mercy. This God, this only true and great God is crazy about you, the proof is revealed in the cross, He considered you precious enough to die for. Let us, therefore, rejoice in His love and be thankful because He will surely complete the good work which He started in you.

    But know this, that the straight and the narrow path are for those whose focus is on God because there is no room for anything else.

    Justification without sanctification would not be salvation at all. You cannot call the pig clean and leave it to wallow in the mud again and again. Can we call a sick person healed and leave him to die of his disease? Will God forgive the rebellion and allow the rebel to remain an enemy to the King? Can we call the captive free and leave him frustrated and bound in chains of bondage? The Lord once told me while fellowshipping with a brother, that the prisoner needs to go through and embrace the rehabilitation program of His kingdom before he/she will be allowed full exit from their prison. If you don't have the character or maturity to sustain you then you will just fall back into your old ways and habits.

    We need to understand that the Lord Jesus came to deal with sin in three ways. He came to remove:
    1. The Penalty of sin, which is eternal damnation, Romans 6:23
    2. The strength of sin, which is the law, Colossians 2:14 and at last
    3. The Presence of sin, which is the seed of the serpent within fallen man

    If, however, you are troubled or irritated by the power of sin and about the inclinations of your fallen nature, here is a promise for you. I encourage you to put your trust in it as it is etched into that covenant of grace, which was planned and ratified by the eternal God and is sure and unshakable.

    The Lord God Almighty, who cannot lie, has promised in Ezekiel 36:23-27

    23. And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified (am hallowed) in you before their eyes. (God Almighty will reveal himself as a holy God in and through His true people) 24, For I WILL gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land. 25 "Then I WILL sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. 26 And I WILL give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I WILL put a new spirit in you. I WILL take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart. 27 And I WILL put My Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command.

    Now please notice that it is God himself who does this amazing work in His people. In this portion of scripture, the Holy Spirit reveals the Temple Ministry of the Holy Spirit to the disciple of Jesus Christ. It is His ministry toward the believers and we are His temple. The part we play in this grace is to build an intimate relationship with our God, to rest in the fact that He has accepted us through the finished work of Christ and to surrender by allowing Him to come clean us out so that He can become the Lord of our lives. To allow Him to be Lord means that you simply surrender every area of your life into His divine hands and trust Him to work it all out for your good. We have made a mess of our lives and we desperately need His help to restore and renew all things according to His sovereign plan and purpose. Surrender is yielded-ness and God gave you the power of choice. Through an act of our will, we must cry out to God to re-posses, rescue and deliver all areas of our lives from the grip of sin and darkness. When you have allowed the Lord to take complete control of your life, you will be free because there where the Spirit of the Lord is we experience freedom.

    We are in desperate need of a Holy Ghost invasion in every area of our lives. We need to yield the entirety of our beings into His hands without holding anything back. Through this yieldness, we surrender our hearts, our minds, our will, our passion, the seat of our affection, the seat of all of our desires and interests and o the liberation and the joy it brings when we are brought to the place of complete surrender. I am a witness to this reality and therefore I want to encourage you to press on. There is nothing more fulfilling, nothing more precious, nothing more cherished to the Lord when His children choose to be ruled by His love. What a joy to know that this amazing God is always motivated by love toward His children. We will look into these truths as we progress in this study and in it, you will discover the secret and the revelation of how to grow into the full measure of the stature of Christ Jesus who Himself defeated Hell, Death and the grave on our behalf.

    Notice the results of this Divine work of grace which Jesus Christ through His propitiation (which means He took our place) by His blood, accomplished on man's behalf.

    1. You become family, and he brings you home (verse 24)
    2. You are cleansed because He washes you (verse 25)
    3. You will no longer worship idols (verse 25)
    4. You are given a new heart with right desires (verse 26)
    5. You are given a new spirit (verse 26)
    6. You loose the old stony heart (verse 26)
    7. And I WILL put My Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command (verse 27)

    You become family, and he brings you home as is written in 1Jn 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God and John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.
    You are cleansed because He washes you-this speaks of the washing of the water through the word of God as we apply it in obedience to our lives and the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus by which we are sanctified.
     You will no longer worship idols-God is a jealous God and He does not want to share you with demonic idols which are desires and things that draw us away from Him. Did not worldly desire and fleshly things destroy our lives before we came to God? When you love somebody then isn't it natural to move them away from the things that destroy their lives? Our devotion toward God must be deep and genuine not shallow and superficial.
    You are given a new heart with right desires because when we are being rescued from this evil world our hearts are consumed and enslaved through many sinful passions. Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
    I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Our desire and prayer must be like David in Psalm 51:10 create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

    You are given a new spirit- which means He imparts a new life to you and this new spirit is not a spirit of timidity or fear but it is a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind according to 2 Tim 1:7. Another role and purpose of our spirits is spoken of in Proverbs 20:27 and it says, The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. 1Cor 2:11 For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so, the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God.
    Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. So we need this new spirit so that through it we may have the ability to communicate and receive from the Lord.

    You lose the old stony heart which means that the Lord in His goodness and mercy will do a spiritual operation to deliver you from being stiff-necked. He will replace the old stony heart with a new soft and obedient heart that will yield to the will of the Lord. When the Bible talks about a stiff-necked people it refers to a proud and a stubborn attitude. It is easy to test yourself to find out if you are stiff-necked. Just ask yourself a question: how long does it take for God to get a point across to you and how long does it take for Him to get you to do something? If you are a person who is wise in your own eyes then you are a stiff-neck with a heart of stone and you need to repent. This is what the the the Lord says about those that are stiff-neck, Deut 10:16 circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart and be no more stiff-necked. In another word's, He is calling us to become a sensitive people. Ps 75:4-7 I said to the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck (don't be proud). For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He puts down one, and sets up another. Jer 17:23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction. Ps 78:7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments: And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.
    And I WILL put My Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command-This means that God himself will do in you according to what is written in Phil 2:13, it says, For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Of this Jesus declared in John 14:16-17 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him: but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you. We desperately need the Spirit of God to indwell our human frailty because only by His divine power are we able to live a victorious life. He is also known according to Heb 10:29 as the Spirit of grace.

    7 is the number of perfection which means that the Lord will do a perfect work in His people.

    1Pet 5:10 But the God of all grace, who has called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

    Understand it in this manner:

    1st, God the Father had the Plan, {John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.}

    2nd, Jesus came and accomplished the plan, {1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory}

    3rd, The Holy Spirit is here to communicate the plan, {1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is He that called you, Who also will do it}

    Philippians 1:6 NKJV being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
