Suddenly

Watch therefore, for you don't know when the lord of the house is coming'whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning; lest, coming suddenly, he might find you sleeping. What I tell you, I tell all: Watch! Mark 13:35-37 WEB.

We went through a season where the Holy Spirit strongly urged me to pray every day, from one to three hours, starting at 3 PM. The presence of the Lord became so strong in the room that it was tangible. It was a wonderful intimate time that lasted a couple of months.

Then that season passed, the Lord grew silent, and our computer business started failing. Our income grew less and less, and then it stopped completely. We tried everything as the bills began piling up, but nothing seemed to help. We gave more, prayed more, fasted more, served more, and tried to find any job possible. I couldn't find a job anywhere doing anything. Then when out of options, we prepared to move out of our home.

After several months of this, I no longer had the energy or willpower to pray. I felt abandoned, and the Lord hadn't spoken to me in months. Then one morning during the week that we were preparing to move, I went into my prayer room and sat down.

I just sat there, mostly contemplating how much I would miss our home. Without saying a word, suddenly, the Lord spoke to me in a vision, and within twenty-four hours, our life had completely changed for the better. By that Friday, I was a pastor.

God closed out the old and brought in something new. It hurt to see the old go, but what He had in store was so much better. God moves suddenly at what we often consider the very last minute. Yet, it's not to Him. He knew the day the transition would take place and was right on time. Our fears and worries were for nothing.

God knows where you are and has the day marked on His calendar when your circumstance will suddenly change. So don't give up yet. We don't know the day or the hour, but the Father does. He won't be late or early, but it will suddenly change.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that you meet my needs and move in my life. Please draw me into a deeper relationship with You. Please give me a fresh zeal today, and speak to me in a way I understand. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
